1903/08: Group of five Master Die Proofs and one Die Proof, all printed in black on glazed card (90 x 60mm.), five of which are endorsed 'Before Hardening' and one 'After Hardening'. Comprising; 1903 2 c. before and after (dated 3 & 5 March 03 respectively, the latter initialled G.W.), 4 c. value tablet, 5 c. (29 Sept 02), 6 c. (2 March 03) and the 1908 6 c. (10 Sept 07), all fresh and fine. A scarce group (6). Comes with a 1904 1 r. 50 c. greyish slate block of four from the top of the sheet with plate number '1' unused and large part og. (Gi 275 = £ 300+).
