1916 (Feb):  '4 / cents' red surcharge on 6 c. black & olive-green (Type 67), unused lower left marginal block of forty, large part og., showing variety "Inverted S" (R.2/5), of fresh appearance although has a diagonal tear in lower row which has been reinforced and as such not obvious from the front and still an impressive and scarce multiple (SG 187/187a = £ 1'600). Comes with an unused side marginal block of six of the 1916 '10 / cents' red surcharge on 12 c. black & deep blue also showing variety "Inverted S" with large part og. and fresh and fine (SG 188/188a = £ 680). Scarce duo Gi combined = £ 2'280.
