1854: 2 d. blue, plate 4, lettered FB, perf.16, wmk. small crown, used on a registered cover with, 1857 1 d. red, lettered GG, perf. 14, wmk. large crown and 1857 4 d. rose surface printed issue, perf. 14, from Forres to Edinburgh, Scotland, dated 11 November 1858, tied by the Scottish '145' numeral in black, with Forres cds alongside in blue. To reverse an Edinburgh datestamp (12 November 1858) in black-green. Heavy central vertical filing crease clear of adhesives and just to the left of the 1 d. red, opening tear back affecting tiny portion of top. Late use of the 2 d. blue plate 4 and a rare tri-colour mixed perforation franking combination, especially with the use of a surface printed stamp.
