1871: ½ d. pale lilac postal stationery card, a used example, sent from London to Devon, 17 November 1870, cancelled by the extremely rare experimental Sloper 'Orb & Cross' Perforation Machine cancel. To reverse an arrival datestamp in black (Nov 3). Slight soiling, otherwise a fine card (H&B CP2) with clean crisp punch holes. One of seven known examples of the standing 'Orb & Cross' punch hole cancel.
