1840: Lettersheet sent from London to Cirencester, dated 6 May 1840, First Day of the Penny Black, paid in cash confirmed by London 'PAID / 6 MY 6 / 1840' tombstone together with handstruck '1' both in red. The side flaps are missing and slightly reduced to left, however a very decorative and freshly preserved item.
