1874: 6 d. blue-green, wmk. CC, perf. 12½, a used example on 1874 cover to Wolverhampton tied by two fine strikes of "LAGOS" code B datestamps (Dec 1) in black. Manuscript credit '5d.' in red at left and obscured "PAID / LIVERPOOL / BR. PACKET" cds in red (Jan 2, 1875) with Wolverhampton arrival cds on reverse. Some minor aging around perforations but a most attractive and rare single franking.
