Auction 333-341 Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan & Worldwide Postal History - Day 4

1902: Postal Stationery Card, 1 d. carmine, used from Lagos to Brotterode, Germany, dated 5 September 1905, cancelled by circular "POST OFFICE / LAGOS W. C. A.", arrival dated 3 October 1905, redirected, with a "DERMBACH / FELDABAHM" datestamp of the same date alongside, small surface flaw lower right side, otherwise fine. Scarce example; earliest recorded usage and one of relatively few cards used before Lagos amalgamated with Southern Nigeria on 1 May 1906.
