Auction 333-341 Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan & Worldwide Postal History - Day 4

1901: Registered Stationery, 2 d. ultramarine, size K, used, uprated with a combination of 1901 5 s. black & orange-yellow and a Niger Coast (SG54) 1894 2½ d. blue (fault), sent from Old Calabar to Berlin, Germany, dated 10 October 1902, cancelled by "REGISTERED OLD CALABAR" oval and an additional strike alongside, a "REGISTERED LONDON" oval in red and another strike to the fee stamp on flap. To reverse an arrival "Bestelt / vom / Postamte 47" dated 11 November 1902 in back. Slightly reduced to the left, minor soiling, corner creasing one heavier to lower left, otherwise fine condition especially for a large format envelope. Rare; a unique item, the only known used example. The size K envelope is unlisted in all known catalogues.
