lot # 5921 - Peru
1858: 1 d. blue, a superb vertical pair, two single examples, one extremely fine, the other with three margins, all used on 1858 cover to Corocoro, Bolivia endorsed "¾ oz. / 3 r.", all tied by ADMON PRAL DE CORREOS / TACNA circular datestamps (Feb 23). Small imperfections and the reverse used for a notation concerning sales of gowns and cloaks (strangely, written in English); but nevertheless a remarkable cover demonstrating a very early usage of the issue.
