1850 (Nov 19): Entire letter to Amsterdam, franked with 1847 5 c. orange brown, ample to large margins all around, tied by blue circular grid cancel, postmarked with Philadelphia cds, manuscript "1/4" United Kingdom credit and "110" Dutch due markings, endorsed "Steamer from / N. York to Liverpool", carried on the Cunard "Africa", which departed New York on November 20, arriving in Liverpool on December 2, with corresponding backstamp, good oval "ENGLAND / OVER OSTENDE", and Amsterdam (4 Dec) backstamps, filing folds, wax seal cut from back, otherwise fine.
