1838 (March 6): Entire letter from London to Mauritius, with manuscript notation "Acheminée de St. Helene le 213 Mars 1838 / par votre humble serviteur S. Solomon", struck with oval "♚ / GENERAL POST OFFICE / CAPE OF GOOD HOPE" datestamp in black (July 14) and reverse with "MAURITIUS POST OFFICE" circular datestamp (Aug 5) in red. The entire somewhat stained and internally restored (which could now be done better) but very scarce.
