1859: Folded letter with full contents sent registered from "NOVI" to Mirandola dated 10. January 1860. The letter is franked with two 20 c. stamps of the Provisional Gouvernement. The right hand stamp shows partially missing print of the currency designation 'CENT.' and in particular on the denomination '20' in the cartouche due to evanescent inking. The stamps are both annulled by a pen cross. Aside double-framed cancel "RACCOM." in greenish-blue. This letter emanates from the period  royal provinces of Emilia.
