Second French Occupation 1807-1809/14 1808 (Nov 6): Entire letter from Corfu to Toulon, France endorsed "Service Militaire", with Naples red transit and disinfected by slitting and vinegar splashing, struck with fine "NAPLES / PAR NICE" in black. Reverse showing "MARINE IMPÉRIALE" Eagle cachet in black used as seal, the entire charged "15" décimes due on delivery. Scarce and very fine entire.
