Greek Post Office in Smirna 1870: Large Hermes 40 l. pale lilac on blued, just clear to large margins all round, used on 1870 cover from Smirna to Athens tied by "96" dotted numeral with "SMYRNA / (TOYPKIA)" despatch cds in black (Nov 21) alongside. Reverse with Piraeus cds and Athens arrival cds (Nov 23) in black. Slight aging on file fold but scarce.
