Court Councillor Carl Custav Ackermann, lawyer, notary and politician was, among other things, an honorary doctor of the University of Leipzig and an honorary citizen of the city of Dresden. From 1869 to 1871 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation and from 1871 to 1893 a member of the Reichstag of the German Empire.
