Israeli mimeographs on Arab boycott mail: 8 JUL 1954 pp'd reg. envel. a/m cv ex COLLINS STREET Melbourne to TLV, w/uprated franking tied by local C/S VIC AUS pmk & same day C/S MELBOURNE transit (b/s); misrouted via Egypt in transit, where opened & resealed by censor (K-Type-C) + stamped by censor (K-Type-6 over seal + Type-5 #69 on front) and returned to sender as no service to Isr. (no IM added); resent and arr Isr. where affixed w/TLV PO K-Type-M1 mimeograph ("This letter was delayed in one of the Arab countries due to incorrect postal routing and was received only now") - this very rare, in use only on 8 Oct. and only 3 examples known, b/s 8-10-54 TLV-5 arr (93 day transit).
