1862-67 5 Lepta bisect: Two fragments depicting a unique usage of a bisected 5l. as a 2l. stamp. The pieces are mounted on original exhibition page with the following description: Two pieces from Nauplion to the same address in London. The single rate to Great Britain from 1870 to 1875 was 92 Lepta. The piece on the left was frenked normally with two pairs of 20l. of the 1870 Special Issue, 2l. Definitive Athens and 10l. Cleaned plates. The piece on the right was franked with 10 and 4x20l. 1871/72 issue and a bisected 5l. Definitive Athens. This is the only known bisected 5l. correctly used which can be proved herewith! (Hellas 17a).
