Hawaii, BARK "YANKEE.". Clear strike of straightline ship handstamp (Gregory AUXSH-SF [BARK. "YANKEE."], Rarity 1RRRR) on folded letter datelined "San Francisco, 5 Juni 1855" and addressed to Honolulu, Hawaii, matching clear strike of "G. B. Post & Co., San Francisco, Forwarded by" octagonal framed handstamp; minor ink erosion, Very Fine.
Estimate; $1,500 - 2,000.

THE ONLY RECORDED STRIKE OF THE BARK "YANKEE." SHIP HANDSTAMP WITH DOUBLE QUOTATION MARKS.

The Bark "Yankee" sailed from San Francisco Jun. 7th 1855 to Honolulu arriving Jun. 19th.
