Russians were printing big quantities of 50 and 500 Rubles forgeries, Prominent collector A. Rucins conducted a study on Russian forgeries. He identified points to distinguish genuine notes from Russian forgeries. Rucins reports, that the serial numbers of Russian forgeries begin with: 001, 004, 010, 011, 018, 019, 029 and 252. He concluded, that approx. 30.000 russian forgeries were put in circulation. This example shows the points for forgery identification by attached red arrows on the note.
