1938 penny (proof or specimen strike). We have not previously seen a 1938 penny like this one. The appearance of the edge clearly being identical to the proof penny of 1937, leads us to believe that this was probably struck on a 1937 proof blank. Both sides have a moderate 'mirror' finish and high rims, almost FDC, lustrous with a light tone. Extremely rare
Estimated Price: £50.00 - 500.00
