Pre-Long Beach Auction #84

1793 S-9 R2 Wreath Cent PCGS graded XF40. Variety with a Vine & Bars Edge. Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Sharply struck and nicely centered on a flawless planchet. The only defects are minor contact marks scattered over the obverse, none notable. The best identifying marks are two tiny pinpricks just left of the O in ONE, but it takes a good glass to see them. MDS, Breen state VI, with a die crack from the dentils through CA and the stem to the ribbon and another from the fraction bar through the tip of the ribbon to the U in UNITED. A very nice Wreath Cent that offers excellent eye appeal. Our grade is VF30.
