Hadrian, AD 117-138. AE Sestertius (25.8g) Sharpness of VF. Rome, ca. AD 122-125. Laureate bust of Hadrian right, drapery on far shoulder. Reverse: Emperor, extending arm in salute, on horse rearing left. Cf. RIC 613a (emperor holding spear); Cf. BMC 1259-62. Rare. Uniform glossy chocolate brown patina. Heavily smoothed in the fields on both sides. Sharpness of Very Fine. Estimated Value $200 - 250
