GREECE: 100 million Drachmas (18.10.1944) (type II) printed check in blue on white paper used as banknote by the Bank of Greece, Agrinios branch. Handwritten S/N: "52027". After the Germans left the city of Agrinio, the bank issued checks used as banknotes with the signature of G Fanos (the bank director) to pay the salaries of the employees of the public sector. This specific check is redeemed and is stamped by the Bank on back. Printed in Agrinio. Inside holder by PMG "Uncirculated 62 EPQ". (Hellas 276a) & (Pick 145).
