Brazil: 1729-R Joao V (1706-1750), gold 12800 Reis ('Johanna' = Dobra), 1st type with oval shield, Fleur-de-Lis over diagonal edge, Rio de Janeiro mint. 28.68g. KM-140. Graded NGC AU58, with some lustre & unusually well struck. Impressive short lived large size issue. All examples from Rio de Janeiro being much scarcer than from Minas Gerais, especially in such high grade. (P)
