CH'ING: Qian Long, 1736-1795, AE charm, 53mm, qian long zhong bao, dragon & phoenix charm, bao qun on reverse, Very Good to Fine. The symbol of the dragon is used to represent the emperor and the phoenix to represent the empress and together they represent both aspects of imperial power. A similar example sold in China Guardian (Zhongguó jiadé) Auction Fall 2013 Lot 65 for RMB 10,000. Photo size reduced.
