UMAYYAD: 'Abd al-Malik, 685-705, AR dirham (2.66g), Dimashq, AH79, A-126, Klat-323b, nice strike, very lightly cleaned, VF, R. Although there are a few exceedingly rare Umayyad dirhams dated AH78, the first year of significant production was AH79. There were more than 30 mints active in AH79, of which only Dimashq and al-Basra are reasonably available.
