1859 (August 10): Cover to Amsterdam, franked with 2 g. (Pl III) greenish blue, 10 g. dark blue, and 20 g. slate grey, mostly good margins, touched in places, postmarked Palermo, boxed "P.P." incorrectly applied in place of "P.D.", as the letter was properly prepaid to its destination, red "Sicile / Marseille" French entry mark (16 Aug), Paris (17 Aug) and Amsterdam (19 Aug) backstamps, a beautiful and scarce franking to a rare destination.
