Lithographed in the Colony: First Issue 1852 (Sept): Lithographed (1 d.) blue, a used example in a deep shade from the 1st consignment with large even margins all round and horizontal central guideline running across the stamp and thus from the lower horizontal row of the sheet (note also the crushed Transfer on the second "D" of TRINIDAD), used on 1852 entire letter from Cuidad Bolivar, Venezuela (Nov 1) endorsed internally 'per Dolores via Trinidad', tied by unusually bold "1" numeral obliterator in black. Manuscript '1/2d.' rate at right and reverse with faint 'Trinidad' double arc cds in black, London transit in red (Dec 10) and arrival. A splendid and extremely rare entire for the connoisseur.
