Attached the original content, a receipt from W.H.Thomas, Maidstone, with fiscal 1d. lilac Inland Revenue (corner fault) confirming James Blaxland paid GBP 10/18s./8d. on 5 May 1866, the day of dispatch of the letter. Very unusual.
