1872: Penasson 1 pi. red, a single example used on 1875 printed cover from the Minister of War ro the American Embassy in Paris, tied by "Poste Egiziane / Cairo" cds (April 17) in black, France 1871/75 applied for onward transmission in Alexandria and tied by "5080" gros chiffres (April 18). Reverse with Paris arrival cds (April 27) in blue. Corner fault to envelope but scarce. Signed Sorani.
