60 reis grey-black, Intermediate Impression on thin greyish paper, horizontal used pair from Second Large plate, State A (position 33-34), cancelled by large part "CORREIO DE MARANHAO" datestamp (March 1844) in red-brown (Ayres fig. 1615). Vertical crease between stamps barely detracts from a very attractive pair.
