1887-1922: Remainder comprising twelve items, including 1900 Discovery of Brazil unadopted essay die proofs (x2) for 100 r. in grey-blue and 4000 r. in black; 1922 commemorative booklet for centenary of indenpedence with two panes of ten presidents/ministers; 1895 Scott 122 and 124 unused with gum; 1889 Scott N88a in vertical unused pair imperf. between variety; three labels "EXERCITO /EM OPERACÕES / CONTRA / PARAGUAY" type I in blue, green and red & white, also 1887 Scott 93 and 95 in used blocks of four; 1888 small fragment with strip of three 100 r. lilac cancelled by unique "FERNANDO DE NORONNA" French type cancel; additionally a map 1/1000,000 Madeira-Mamoré railway through Brazilian state of Ronodonia showing part of Amazon forest - this was an infamous abandoned project know as "Devil's Railroad", so called on account of the thousands of construction workers who died from tropical diseases and violence.
