1884 (April 1): 5 d. dull green, wmk. Crown, perf. 14, used on cover, London to Meerkut, India, redirected to Chakrata, dated 30 March 1886, tied by the rare 'Charing Cross WC' Trial Hoster Machine cancellation in black. To the reverse a Sea Post Office cds (April 9), First Deli Meerkut circular (April 22), a Meerut datestamp of the same date and a Chakrata arrival all in black (April 23). Soiled but a fine strike of this rare postmark (Dubus Type 46).
