Typeset at the Office of the 'Royal Gazette', Georgetown 1850/51: Cottonreel 8 c. black on green, Type D on medium wove paper, a used example with large margins all round, cut to form a heptagon with seven sides around the circle, horizontally creased prior to use but of good definition, initialled "JBS" (Smith) cancelled by light double arc "Demerara" datestamp in black (March 14, 1851). An attractive example of a very rare stamp. Ex collection Muggia. Certs. Albert Diena (1960), BPA (2020) Gi = £ 16'000 (as cut round) / £ 70'000 (as cut square).
