Mauritius used in Seychelles 1872: Mauritius 1863/72 4 d. rose and 6 d. yellow-green in a horizontal pair, used on double rate cover to Paris, all tied by three strikes of the "B64" obliterator in black with "P.D." at left. Carried by "Ermine" French Paquebot to Aden with octagonal "POS. AN. SUEZ / P.F. AMB. MARS" on obverse (Aug 20). Reverse with unclear "Seychelles" despatch cds and Paris arrival cds (Aug 21). A few trivial stains but very rare and most attractive. A famous cover.
