Auction 333-341 Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan & Worldwide Postal History - Day 4

Niue 1902 (Jan 4): 1 d. carmine horizontal pair with handstamped overprint in blue (Gi. 1), used together with 1902 (April-May) ½ d. green and 1 d. carmine (3 examples) on 1905 registered cover to Boston, USA endorsed "Enclosures", all tied by neat individual strikes of "NZ / NIUE" circular datestamps in black (Oct 28). Reverse with Auckland transits (Dec 11), Chicago cds (Jan 20, 1906) in red and Boston arrival cdds (Jan 22) in violet. Minor imperfections due to journey but an outstanding first issue cover of great scarcity.
