Auction 333-341 Europe & Overseas - Day 5

1922: 4 d. grey & black on yellow and 1 d. grey & green used on 1925 imprinted envelope from the "Atlantic & Indian Oceans Expedition" sent registered by a sailor on board the "Blossom of Cleveland, Ohio" to Italy, tied by "St. Helena" cds's (Oct 3). Multiple "Found Open or Damaged and Officially Resealed" labels at sides applied in transit in London (Oct 21). Addressee not found and the cover returned back to St. Helena with re-arrival cds of "St. Helena" (April 25) in black. Some toning but a most unusual commercial cover.
