Dahomey 1900: "Gouvernment du Dahomey" imprinted envelope to the Minister of the Colonies in Paris, struck with "PORTO-NOVO / DAHOMEY" despatch cds (May 22), thence by French Paquebot "Stamboul" with octagonal "LOANGO A MARSEILLE / L.M. No. 3" in black alongside. Obverse aand reverse with circular "Secrétariat du Gouvernment" cachet in black. Slight closed tear on reverse of an unusual cover.
