British Protectorate 1815-1864 1821 (March 3/15): Entire letter from Paxos to Corfu, struck with circular "POSTA DELLA ISOLA DI PAXO" in red ink - the earliest recorded usage thus - and, on arrival with fine circular "ISOLE / IONIE" in greenish ink with manuscript rate "1¼" (pence) to pay. Minor worm holes not affecting the appearance of an important and rare entire.
