British Protectorate 1815-1864 1836: Incoming entire letter from Paris to Corfu, prepaid on despatch with "Bureau Central / Paris" cds in red (Sept 24) and framed "P.P." above; mailed via Bologna where disinfected with vertical slits and framed "Disinfettato / pel contatto" (see Meyer page 202) and thence via Naples (Oct 8) with datestamp in red. Struck on arrival with hooded "CORFU" datestamp (Oct 22) in black and charged "2/3d." in red manuscript.
