Auction # 2426 ARGENTINA: Special July auction - second part!

GJ.885, 1942 35c. "Palacio Central de Correos y Telégrafos", 4 color proofs in blocks of 4, printed on paper with glazed front, excellent lot. We also include a letter signed by the then General Postmaster to the collector Dr. Adolfo Orma, sending him this set of "specimens" that had an "edition of only 20 examples", and he was sending them as a gift for his suggestion that the Post should issue a 35c. stamp for the Express mail rate, which the Post eventually did by issueing this stamp, rare and unique lot!
