lot # 8512 - bremen stamps
1855, 3 Grote on blue-grey, imperforated, type II, horizontally laid paper, with part of the sheet watermark "Lilie", fresh colours and large margins all round, with neatly applied boxed cancel "BREMEN 27 2" (1861) on folding cover to Bremerhafen. The stamp (postage stamp) was detached for inspection and is perfect as far as can be judged. A very attractive letter with this scarce variation; probably the best of the only four known. Signed Ressel and Kruschel and certificate Neumann BPP (2023) Provenance: Hehmsoth (25. Kruschel 1987)
