1915-16 opt Kangaroo variety with 2d grey, 2nd wmk MNH blk of 15 of opt type a+b+b strips with variety 'scratch under P of Postage' (ACSC 6 (2) g cat $375 M), also has red staining on left row apparently caused by water damage putting out a fire in the Rabaul Treasury safe when it was opened with oxyacetylene torch. 6d ultramarine 2nd wmk with variety 'flaw below Albany' (ACSC 18 (2) e cat $1000), 9d violet 1st wmk with purple opt & variety 'break in shading over N' (ACSC 24 (2) pa cat $400). Nice range of scarce varieties. VF MNH (2d), others F-VF MLH. SG 81, 86, 88(var) cat £337 for M singles so est £600. ACSC cat $8100 w/o opt. Interesting group. (17) (P)
