Large Portugal Stamp and Coin Auction. All periods well represented. Coins go from 1st Dynasty (King Sancho I), thru the Portuguese sea discoveries period (many silver coins from 15th and 16th century), and also gold coins from different kings (Joao V, Pedro V, Luis I). Lots go up to the 20th century, with hard to find items such as 1$00 1935 or 2$50 1937. Stamps go from 1853, with the scarce 1853 100rs stamp, all the way to the 20th century. Singles used and MNH, complete sets, blocks and miniature sheets present. Some Macau Macao MNH lots and complete year packs also present.

The two sales (this as well as #284-5) feature Precolumbian Art, including an important collection of Dr. Klaus Maria, antiquities, antique coins including a collection of Greek coins, medieval and modern coins and medals. Another part of the Benedikt-Laib-collection of Goetz-medals and the collection of Karl Roth will be offered, too. Also, an exciting collection of Augsburg coins is offered.
