1916. PCGS graded Proof 65 Brown. Rare in all grades, especially so at the Gem level as precious few have survived intact. With an original mintage of just 1,050 pieces, this is one of the finer seen. Mostly a medium brown color with some slightly deeper accents here and there, a finely textured matte surface is clearly seen on the devices and in the fields. Lincoln's beard shows full definition as required of a Matte proof example, as does a high, sharp wire edge. Pop 14; 6 finer, 1 in 65+, 3 in 66, 1 in 66+, 1 in 67 (PCGS # 3324) .
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,300.

A mixture of deep cherry-red and tan-brown covers each side. Exceptional quality and value for the Lincoln cent enthusiast.Housed in an Old Green Holder. Pop 100; 42 finer (PCGS # 3304) .

1924-D. PCGS graded MS-64 Red. The smooth, slightly frosted surfaces exhibit a pronounced golden-red color which presents as even on each side. Very little muting of color is seen, and there are no marks or spots worthy of mention, and the surfaces are remarkably free of imperfections. An exceptionally attractive near-Gem example of this difficult date. Pop 89; 41 finer, 39 in 65, 1 in 65+, 1 in 66 (PCGS # 2554) .

1912-D. PCGS graded MS-65 Red. Uncommonly well preserved for this scarce Denver Mint issue, both sides retain full mint bloom in shimmering fiery-red color. The coin is sharply struck on the obverse and reverse featuring sharp detailing on Lincoln's hair and the wheat ears. There are no grade-limiting blemishes, only explosive mint luster and color. For accuracy, a couple of microscopic flyspecks are seen on the reverse.

A semi-key issue in the Lincoln Cent series, the 1912-D has a relatively low mintage of just over 10.4 million pieces. Examples are scarce at all levels of preservation; in the finer circulated and Mint State grades they are nothing short of rare. Uncirculated survivors are frequently beleaguered by varying degrees of incompleteness due to die wear, so sharply defined examples are always in demand among leading Lincoln cent collectors. Pop 103; 23 finer, 5 in 65+, 18 in 66 (PCGS # 2455) .
Estimated Value $1,900 - 2,000.
