La Hispano Suiza Fábrica de Automóviles Sociedad Anónima; Barcelona, 10.07.1906, Aktie der 3. Emission über 500 Pesetas, #2846, 37 x 21.3 cm, braun, schwarz, blau, Knickfalten, Papierstreifen vom Kuponbogen, Stempel, dekorative Gestaltung von Ramon Casas mit Teresa Mariani und im Hintergrund Automobil. In der Zeit vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg gehörten die vom Schweizer Ingenieur Marc Birkigt entwickelten Hochleistungsluxuswagen zu begehrten Statussymbolen. Während des Krieges baute die Firma Flugmotoren für die Alliierten. Der Zweite Weltkrieg führte dazu, dass Hispano-Suiza die Produktion komplett auf Waffen umstellte. 1938 verließ der letzte Luxuswagen die Fabrikhallen. Die Firma gehörte später zum Oerlikon-Bührle-Konzern. In the period before World War I the high performance luxury vehicles developed by the Swiss engineer Marc Birkigt were sought-after status symbols. During the war the company produced flight engines for the Allies. World War II led to Hispano Suiza completely changing over its production to arms. In 1938 the last luxury vehicle left the works. Later the company was part of the Swiss Oerlikon-Bührle combine.
