Landscapes of Israel was a definitive series which for a long time served to send mail. Since 1970, the Israeli postal service issued the series to match the postage at the time. Over the years, additional postage stamps of the series were issued according to changes in the postage. The postage stamps were used for sending letters of all types: regular, registered, abroad, and more. The series itself was nice and collectors as well as the general public liked it since it expressed the landscapes of our beloved country.

As a result, there were recurring printings which generated an abundance of changes and variants such as changes in dates of printing, type of paper used, type of glue, phosphor bands, the margins and more.

One of the greatest collectors collected all these. He bought sheet after sheet, pair after pair, adding to his collection every significant variant. He invested thousands of hours and a lot of money to add the most unique items to his collection. For example, the collection contains a single item that was bought in one of the leading auction houses for $2900. The collection contains items that are most likely the only one of their type in the world. The collector did not only add the best items to his collection but built a methodical collection which misses nothing!

The collection is accompanied by detailed explanatory leaves containing a precise description of the items. The collection is thus built as a fascinating lecture on the subject. רקע:

מנוף הארץ הייתה סדרה מן המניין ששימשה בפועל למשלוח מכתבים במשך תקופה ארוכה. משנת 1970 החל הדואר להנפיק את הסדרה בערכים המותאמים לתעריפי הדואר באותו הזמן. במשך השנים יצאו בולים נוספים בסדרה בהתאם לשינויי התעריפים. הבולים שימשו למשלוח מכתבים מכל הסוגים כגון: רגיל, רשום, לחו"ל ועוד. הסדרה עצמה הייתה יפה מאוד וקהל האספנים והקהל הרחב אהב אותה מפני שביטאה את נופיה של הארץ הטובה והיפה, ארץ ישראל.

כתוצאה מכך היו הדפסות חוזרות ונשנות שיצרו שפע של שינויים ווריאנטים. שינויים בתאריכי ההדפסה, בסוגי הנייר, בסוגי הדבק, בזרחנים, וגם בהדפסות עצמן כגון בשוליים ועוד.

כאן ישנו כר נרחב לאספנים. אחד מגדולי האספנים עסק בכך במשך שנים רבות. הוא אסף גיליון לגיליון, צמדה לצמדה כאשר לא ויתר על אף שינוי משמעותי. הוא השקיע אלפי שעות והרבה מאוד כסף, ולא ויתר אף על הפריטים היחידניים, שאין להשיג כמותם כלל. באוסף ישנו למשל, פריט בודד שנקנה באחד מבתי המכירות המובילים ב2900$, ועוד פריטים יקרי ערך ביותר שיתכן מאוד שהם יחידים בעולם. האספן לא הסתפק במציאת הפריטים הטובים ביותר אלא בנה אוסף שיטתי שלא יחסר בו דבר!

האוסף מלווה בדפי הסבר מפורטים ברמה הכי גבוהה עם תיאור מדוייק של הפריטים השונים. האוסף בנוי כהרצאה מרתקת של הנושא כולו, מחלקה אחרי מחלקה ופריט אחרי פריט. שישה אלבומים ענקיים עם פריטים רבים מאוד מלספור שמהווים, למעשה, סדרת ספרים מרתקת הבנויה לתלפיות.

לפריטים הרבים והנפלאים הקדים האספן הקדמה מרתקת שבה דברי מבוא על הסדרה, מפתח וביאור המושגים הבולאיים שמשמשים את האוסף. בין השאר הוא מסביר שם את השימוש בזרחנים השונים בדואר בסדרה זו לפי הערכים וההדפסות השונות. הוא מסביר שם מתי היה שימוש בפס זרחן אחד, מתי בשניים ומתי הונפקו בולים ללא זרחנים כלל. מתברר שיש שיטיות ומחשבה רבה מאחורי הדברים.

האוסף כולו נמצא בשישה אלבומים גדולים ומפוארים בקופסאות תואמות של "לינדר".

כפי הנראה מעולם לא נראה אוסף של מנוף הארץ או של סדרה אחרת מן המניין, כל כך שיטתי, מושקע, מקצועי, מרהיב ועם פריטים כל כך יקרי ערך. כולל מאות גליונות וצמדות.

כדאי לבוא ולראות. נא להכין הרבה זמן ולצפות לכמה שעות של הנאה צרופה. הקונה ודאי מובטחות לו מאות שעות כאלו.
