HEPHTHALITE: Alxon/Chionite, ca. 475-565, AR drachm (4.04g), NM, ND, Mitch-1455/56, G-287var., Peroz type, 4 pellets in obverse margin, Pahlavi letter M to left and with Pahlavi AS instead of Bactrian arxon to right on reverse, choice EF, RR. The name AS refers to the Sasanian mint Asuristan, which was the treasury mint near Baghdad, as on the Sasanian prototype.
