1915/1916: Collection of over thirty items relating to SS APPAM, a British merchant captured by the German raider MÖWE, off MADEIRA in January 1916. The story is very well documented, with mail carried by the APPAM on the fateful voyage, pictures of the ship and pictures of the interned crew in NEWPORT MEWS USA, as well as other items relating to SMS MÖWE. A fascinating study and reference.
