1850 Cover from Peshawar to Calcutta bearing red framed "PESHAWAR/PAID (71/2 as)" h/s (Giles 1) and in m/s, black boxed "AM" and red framed "G.P.O./1850 March 23" Calcutta arrival d/s all on the reverse. An attractive and early cover with the first British handstamp from Peshawar which became headquarters of the British District in 1849.
